Outreach
His Gospel Christian Fellowship is engaged in providing care packages for the homeless each month. We provide sandwiches, fruit, snacks, water, clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, toiletries, dog food for dog owners, flash lights, umbrellas, tarp, and other items. Our church has been doing this for years in the Oakland area, where homelessness has reached endemic proportions. We see churches like ours going out more than ever before. We see spouses feeding people out of the trunk of their cars. We see college students coming out with boxes of new clothes and giving them to anyone that can use them. We all have a voice in the matter!
Serve
We truly believe in service at HGCF. Every year, HGCF has provided academic scholarships for those pursuing education steadfastly. HGCF has also held multiple backpack giveaways, giving away hundreds of backpacks (school supplies included) over the course of its lifetime. We continue to provide other resources, catering to peoples’ basic needs. On many occasions HGCF has also provided benevolent funding to assist individuals struggling to afford utilities.

Education
Education takes on many different aspects at HGCF. We will be holding online seminars on everything from financial planning and budgeting to college application preparation.
Counseling
The aim of HGCF counseling is to help people regain a sense of hope for their lives, which we believe can only be found in Jesus Christ. We believe that at the core of what we do as counselors is to help others achieve a better understanding of themselves and God, which is rooted in faith in the triune God. We offer an array of counseling services to members of the church.
Services are available in the following areas:
Pastoral counselingThis ministry engages individuals, couples, and families to increase their understanding of emotional and religious conflicts and to help resolve problems using biblical and other resources.
Marriage and Couples CounselingThis seeks to help couples, married or pre-marriage deal with some of the issues they may be having with parenting, finances, trust and communication. Through meaningful communication, we can help to rebuild trust and reestablish the foundations of respect and friendship in your relationship, using God’s Word as the source you can depend on. |
Spiritual GrowthGod wants all of us to grow in our relationship with Him and with each other. The Word of God is our key to developing close relationships. This form of counseling seeks to make others become more aware of what, how and where God operates in our lives. This form of counseling seeks to sharpen our abilities to identify when God’s will is operating in our lives. Paul said, “And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you. For my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly I will most rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9. |
Music
As 1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”, His Gospel Christian Fellowship believes everyone should use EVERY gift they have to give praise to God. Broadcast and Media
Can’t make it to church Sunday? HGCF has a streaming media broadcasting service. We stream video and audio on our You Tube channel and Facebook weekly. We also make our sermons available on the HGCF website for your listening pleasure. Please visit our You Tube Channel during the time of Sunday service to tune in!
Intern or Volunteer
His Gospel Christian Fellowship provides internship and community service opportunities to High School & College students who are seeking avenues, serving the community. Internships and community service opportunities are available year-round.
Relationships
Do you have a relationship with God? Do you feel His presence in your life? Do you feel that you can pray to Him at any time and know that He will respond to your prayer? Do you spend time reading the Bible? When you do, do you understand what you are reading? Do you see the connection between what you are reading in the Bible and your everyday life events? Do you know where you will spend eternity when your life on this earth is over?
